Thanksgiving Dinner
Open to all St. George residents, StGCDC staff and volunteers prepare and serve Thanksgiving meals.
Each year, on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, the St. George Community Development Corporation (StGCDC) proudly hosts our Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner—an event rooted in connection, generosity, and gratitude. Open to all St. George residents, this gathering brings neighbors together to share a warm meal and celebrate the spirit of the season.
StGCDC staff and dedicated volunteers work side by side to prepare and serve a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, creating a welcoming space for everyone who attends. The event typically brings about 120 community members together for an in-person meal, while an additional 100 meals are prepared for residents who prefer to pick up and enjoy Thanksgiving at home.
More than just a meal, this annual tradition reflects our commitment to community empowerment—ensuring that everyone has a place at the table and feels supported during the holiday season. It is a meaningful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to care for one another.
