We support local innovation and solutions by serving as a fiscal sponsor for community-led initiatives that are positively impacting our community.
Through fiscal sponsorships, the St. George Community Development Corporation (StGCDC) supports local innovation and solutions that positively impact our community. We empower community members and groups to launch grassroots initiatives that strengthen St. George.
The StGCDC has served as the fiscal sponsor for the St. George School Fund since 2017 and began sponsoring the Zero to School Program in 2025.
After the devastating fire in Port Clyde in 2023, a group of community members came together who wanted to raise funds to support the people, businesses and organization impacted by the fire. The group approached the StGCDC and we quickly agreed to act as the fiscal sponsor for the initiative, Port Clyde Strong. Through the vision and commitment of a concerned group of residents, and the generosity of our town, Port Clyde Strong raised over $60,000, which was distributed to individuals and local businesses impacted by the fire and resulting loss of tourism.
