Liz Mathews has been involved with the StGCDC since its early days, serving as a dedicated member of the Workforce Housing Committee since inception in 2017 and and on the Board of Directors since 2021.
Liz and her husband moved to St. George with their two young daughters in 2015. Having faced housing challenges themselves upon arrival, Liz was drawn to the StGCDC’s mission of supporting workforce housing, education, and economic opportunity and as a result, she soon began volunteering her time to support its work.
Growing up in a military family and later serving in the Coast Guard, Liz understands the importance of stable housing and strong community support for families trying to put down roots.
Professionally, Liz brings a wealth of experience as a Coast Guard veteran, a Commercial Real Estate Due Diligence Senior Project Manager, and former School Administrative Assistant at the St. George Municipal School Unit, where she worked for three years. She pairs her practical skills with empathy and a strong sense of service.
