Program Director
About
Britta McCollom brings more than 15 years of nonprofit leadership experience to her role as Program Director at the St. George Community Development Corporation. Deeply rooted in her love for the St. George community, Britta is passionate about creating opportunities for all residents to feel supported and connected. She was drawn to StGCDC’s mission-driven approach and its unwavering focus on serving the evolving needs of the community with compassion and integrity. Britta is especially inspired by how the organization’s programs cultivate inclusion and accessibility—ensuring every neighbor has a place to belong.
Prior to joining St. George CDC, Britta worked for Homeworthy, where she oversaw a team of case managers at The Landing Place and helped ensure program compliance across multiple systems, including MaineHousing and MaineCare. She played a key role in the early envisioning and development of what is now The Landing Place Youth Center in Rockland.
The Landing Place, part of Homeworthy’s comprehensive suite of services, provides a welcoming and supportive environment for highly resilient yet often marginalized youth living in Midcoast Maine. Britta was instrumental in supporting the program’s foundational stages, helping to create a space rooted in belonging, stability, and community connection. Since opening its doors in 2017, The Landing Place has become a hub for collaboration—a steady presence not only for youth and families seeking support, but also for community members eager to engage and give back.
Beyond her professional life, Britta finds joy in traveling with her family, spending time by the ocean, and embracing the slower rhythms of coastal living. She values connection, creativity, and the everyday adventures that come with raising her four-year-old daughter and seven-year-old son—and rarely starts the day without a good cup of coffee in hand.
